Rudolph Tegner Museum & Statue Park (http://www.rudolphtegner.dk/english) is one of Denmark’s great one-man museums, built for himself by Rudolph Tegner (1873–1950), a symbolist artist. Rudolph and his wife Elna are buried there. The museum has colossal statues in plaster that refer to both Greek and Nordic mythology. The surrounding park has many bronze statues cast based on the plaster works inside the museum. The locals call the area Russia because of its remote location. It is a favourite attraction, with the heather-clad hilly terrain recessed inland between rolling fields.
